Change Deserves a KISS
Hello!
Another ending/beginning synchronicity – Sunday was February 1st and a full moon. I always think this is a powerful line up as it really does help to completely clear the slate.
And it’s about 2 weeks until the next opportunity to (re)launch a 12 month cycle with the Lunar New Year on Feb. 17th. Also, 2 significant planets, Neptune and Saturn both enter Aries right around this time and begin new 13 year and 2 ½ year cycles. And of course, just to make extra spicy Mercury goes retrograde on February 11th.
So the winds of change are a-coming. And as I’ve been mentioning, 2026 is going to feel very different from 2025 – a little fast, a little fiery and a little furious.
What is the best way to prepare for all this newness? How can we create stability?
Interestingly, the recurring themes of the last week – simplicity, focus and courage – all came together and offered the following.
KISS it. Keep It Super Simple. This was the message from a health coach interview. Choose ONE, EASY thing. Drink one more glass of water a day, go to bed 10 minutes earlier every night, wait the full 3 seconds at every stop sign. The “go big or go home” is usually not the key to success. It’s not the size of the stride that matters; it’s the forward motion. Confidence comes from taking step at a time.
Focus on one thing. Yes, apologies, this again comes from the Walk for Peace monks. Give one thing your attention and intention. Mitigating the distractions and temptations seams less daunting if you choose something that has meaning to you. Don’t make the decision based on what it “should” be or what someone suggests for you. And if you make it your priority, would everything else in your life shift to support it?
Finally, be courageous in committing to one, simple thing. We’ve been so conditioned to multi-task over the last several decades that giving one thing our laser focus might feel weird, unproductive, etc., and give us infinite FOMO. What would the impact be after a few weeks if we mono-tasked with fierce presence? How would the quality of our energy, our mind and our relationships feel? Would FOMO exist?
Sunday was the Full Moon in Leo. Leo = courage. Full Moon = letting go. What if we are brave and curious enough to select one priority, let the rest go and completely nurture it?
Blessings,
Chrissi
